In Chapter 3 of 18, non-profit executive and spokesperson Kyung Yoon finds grassroots efforts are the best approach to building sustainable solutions to beat poverty. Yoon finds the grassroots element a common enabler at both the global poverty and local poverty level. When a community is given a voice in finding a solution, the solution does not feel imposed or top-down and is better supported by the people.
